Our story

A few hives, a shared interest, and a bigger idea.

The honest account of how Brother Bees began, where it is going and what it is still learning.

Brother Bees began with two brothers who wanted to learn more about bees and the world around them.

What started as a hobby gradually became something more: a way to produce local honey, learn a traditional craft and share that experience with other people.

We're still a small-scale operation. We believe there's value in knowing where your honey comes from, understanding the work behind it and taking care over how it's produced.

We don't have every answer. We're interested in learning, sharing what we discover and working with others who want to make a practical difference. Brother Bees

But our interest in bees has also led us to ask bigger questions. How can we encourage responsible beekeeping? How can we help people understand the needs of wild pollinators? And how can local businesses and communities do more to support the landscapes they depend on?

Brother Bees is growing from its original beginnings into a project that brings together honey, responsible beekeeping and a wider appreciation of biodiversity.

Who we are now

The people behind the honey.

Brother Bees is run by real people, at a small scale, with time spent between the hives, the kitchen and the places the bees forage. The account of who now runs the business is confirmed by the owner before launch.
