Good honey.A wilder world.

Small-scale beekeeping, local honey and a growing commitment to the wildlife and landscapes around us. Made with care in East Sussex.

About us

Small batches. Local roots.

Brother Bees began with two brothers, a few hives and a shared fascination with bees. What started as a hobby has grown into a small, independent business built around local honey, traditional craft and a deeper appreciation of the natural world.

Today, we're building on that beginning, working at a small scale, celebrating the people behind the honey and exploring how beekeeping can sit alongside a healthier, more diverse countryside.

Meet Brother Bees

The shop

Made by bees. Finished by hand.

A deliberately small range: local honey, a simple drizzler and a refillable beeswax candle. Prices and weights are confirmed by Brother Bees before launch.

Beyond the honey bee

Beekeeping is only part of the picture.

Honey bees are remarkable, but they're only one part of a much bigger world of pollinators. Wild bumblebees, solitary bees, hoverflies and other insects all have a role to play.

We believe responsible beekeeping should go hand in hand with understanding the wider environment, including the habitats and resources that other species depend on.

We're interested in bringing beekeepers, landowners, businesses and local communities together to explore practical ways to support biodiversity.

Our Sussex roots

A little closer to home.

Based in East Sussex, Brother Bees is built around the value of producing and buying locally. Shorter supply chains can mean less unnecessary transport, stronger relationships with producers and a closer connection to where our food comes from.
